Kay had what is often called an age-worn smile. Over the years all of her teeth were significantly worn and most were extensively repaired. She was unhappy with her smile and she had developed TMJ (jaw joint) problems. Wear had shortened Kay’s front teeth. A periodontist provided what is called crown lengthening, a procedure to expose more tooth structure. This allowed us to restore her original tooth length. All 28 teeth in her mouth were then restored with a combination of porcelain veneers and crowns.

I had a bad reaction to medication, which really did a number on my teeth and gums. It got so bad my speech was affected, and since I do lots of public speaking, something had to be done. More than 20 years ago Susan had extensive dental care involving crowns on her front and back teeth, and over the years she lost confidence in her smile.
